Overview

Cimarex is a leading exploration and production company with operations in Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico. Most of our wells are drilled in the Wolfcamp Shale and Bone Spring Sands in the Permian Basin and in the Woodford and Meramec Shales in Western Oklahoma. Driven by strong rates of return from oil and liquids-rich natural gas wells, Cimarex invested $1.28 billion for exploration and development activities in the Permian and Mid-Continent regions in 2017 and plans to invest $1.6 to $1.7 billion in these areas during 2018.

Cimarex's proved reserves grew to 559 million barrels of oil equivalent (MMBOE) at December 31, 2017. Daily production averaged 190 thousand barrels of oil equivalent (MBOE) during 2017; 45 percent natural gas; 30 percent oil and 25 percent natural gas liquids. This results in a daily production five year compound annual growth rate of 13 percent. Cimarex estimates its 2018 daily production will be in the range of 211 to 221 MBOE.
